Information for presenters

Oral Presentation Guidelines

  • The lecture room (Stirling & Aramac lecture room) will be equipped with a lectern and microphone, a PC with Microsoft Office, data projection, laser pointer and audio.
  • Your slides should be designed in the 16:9 format (widescreen)
  • Presenters are requested to bring their presentation on a USB with them to the conference and upload it on to the presentation laptop in the lecture room before their session starts.
    Please allow at least 20 minutes prior to the session commencing.
  • In case that you need special software for your presentation or if you have videos included into your file, please notify Conference Secretariat (email) in advance.
    Also lecturers wishing to use their own laptop are required to notify the Conference Secretariat (email) in advance.
  • Any changing in presenting author or presentation cancellation must urgently be submitted in written form to the Conference Secretariat (email). 

Poster Presentation Guidelines

  • Posters should be prepared and printed on size A0 paper (W 0.85m x H 1.2m), vertically oriented.  It is suggested to divide the contents of each poster into introduction, results and conclusions, with a summary listing the pertinent results and conclusions. The poster should be legible from a distance of 2-3 meters.
  • Posters will be displayed on the walls of the Marloo room. You will be provided with materials for mounting your poster in its designated place. Posters will numbered according to the ID numbers in the program. The program is available online, on the Conference App and will be handed out on-site.
  • Whilst posters will be display during the entire conference, there will also be a dedicated "Poster Sessions" on Friday, 13 October 2017, from 8:00pm-10:30pm. Authors are asked to be present at their own poster during the breaks and the Poster Session for discussion.
  • Poster set-up and removal:
    Posters can be put up at the start of the conference, and must be taken down after the Closing Plenary Session, no later than 7pm.
  • Any changes in presenting author or presentation cancellation must urgently be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat (email).
