Amit Mehrotra

Amit Mehrotra obtained his degree in chemistry and PhD in bioorganic chemistry from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, where he was interested in the synthesis of cyclic peptide analogues of Nodularin and Microcystin as potential protein phosphatase inhibitors. He then carried out post-doctoral research synthesizing biochemical tools to investigate the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus.  Amit then held positions as a Product Development Manager at a vaccine diagnostic company and as a Senior Scientist, managing a core peptide synthesis facility. In 2009, Amit joined Biotage in Sweden, where he is the Global Product Manager for Organic and Peptide Synthesis products, responsible for developing instrumentation and consumables for organic and peptide synthesis and application development.
